Tara Street southbound is still out, Shankill both lifts now out as well

Mark Gleeson 11-11-2006 11:51

Tara Street is fixed after two weeks

Shankill and Booterstown are out now

Mark Gleeson 12-11-2006 22:10

Booterstown, Blackrock and Shankill are reported out currently

The fact Booterstown is unstaffed currently doesn't help

Mark Gleeson 14-11-2006 11:34

The never ending list goes on

Blackrock both lifts out today and have been out of order since Sunday

zag 14-11-2006 19:39

Something must be wrong

Either they have all the lifts working at the same time (first time in how many months ?) or else their lift fault reporting software is broken.

I know which one my money is on . . .

As of about 1800 this evening there were no *reported* lifts out of action.

What happens if the lifts are broke and there's no disabled egress from a station? Like Clontarf Road if the southbound lift was broke or Tara St both sides?
Or even to a mainline station with no disabled access like the west platform in Arklow with only a stairs to get off the platform.

Mark Gleeson 18-11-2006 14:26

Now have Laytown and Shankill broken, is there no end to this ?

Mark Gleeson 19-11-2006 10:28

Laytown still broken, Shankill was fixed sometime around 4pm yesterday

MOH 27-11-2006 09:52

Tara St northbound, Booterstown southbound are out this morning according to platform display
(How can a lift be northbound? Surely its just upbound and downbound?)

MOH 28-11-2006 11:31

28/11/06 - Booterstown still out

Mark Gleeson 29-11-2006 15:22

MOH 19-12-2006 11:49

Mark Gleeson 02-01-2007 09:28

For reasons unknown there is no wheelchair access to Sutton until further notice

Note no notice on IE site to this effect

MOH 04-01-2007 15:14

Was today the first day in recorded history when there were no accessibility issues at all? Or did they just not bother putting anything on the platform displays?

Colm Donoghue 04-01-2007 15:42

accessibility at Donabate

Since August Fingal Co.Co /IE have been involved in works at the end of turvey avenue in Donabate.

The old carpark exit has been sealed up and a new one opened.
This means that where it was approx 200m from the ticket office to the northbound platform, it is now a journey of 340m for someone unable to navigate the old steps.

Now you have to exit the ticket office, go back out to the road, cross the railway bridge, follow along a path. step onto the road around a metal fence, cross the new road, step up onto footpath, turn right down this new road, step down of fthe footpath, cross this road, step up onto footpath along the new carpark entrance road step down off the footpath and enter the far end of the carpark, walk along carpark to platform gate.

Now in light of the time effort amd money spent making dart stations accessible, the CDE internal door issue, etc, the lack of thought shown here in allowing this to happen is staggering.

I am prepared to accept older stations not having great accesibility on a grandfather rule but to allow this happen in 2006 is incredible.

Both lifts in Shankill are broken

MOH 16-01-2007 12:54

Shankhill lifts still out morning of 15/01

Mark Gleeson 17-01-2007 09:45

Some strange reason IE report this morning that no access for mobilty imparied is available at Booterstown until further notice

Can't understand why

zag 17-01-2007 10:32

Station building closed

Booterstown is down as not available for mobility impaired because the station building is still shuttered this morning. Free travel - woohoo ! The old bridge (the one they want to take away) is the only access to the platforms.

Mark Gleeson 02-02-2007 10:39

Mark Gleeson 15-02-2007 14:39

The lifts in Sandycove are out of order

Well I'd love to find the lifts in Sandycove since there is only one and its on the northbound platform

Mark Gleeson 16-02-2007 09:29

The 'lift' in Sandycove is still broken, must be a record but at least they finally got the singular lift right. Of course its on the northbound platform which would be handy to know

Killiney southbound is broke as well now
