I presume they mean the 6.25pm as otherwise they were doing time travel to make the 7pm to Cork!
This story is on Morning Ireland too. Oh if there's a God someone from IÉ will be on to defend this. "New premium rail service - no smelly other people - on the most modern trains in Europe". |
This is utterly mind boggling.
It speaks volumes when IE staff on the same platform cannot even communicate. |
They did have an IÉ spokesperson (Jane something I think). Should be up on the RTÉ website later. To make her bad morning worse, they hit her with the Dublin-country vs country-Dublin fare difference. Ouch!

Its was the 18:25 Dublin Limerick
The passengers where put on the 19:00 to Cork, there where numerous delays on the Cork line on Sunday as well And if you think the 46.50 vs 64.50 is bad we have much worse to come |
Just heard the piece back :D
http://www.rte.ie/news/morningireland Irish Rail can't talk themselves out of this one |
Sounds like he had a good chance of getting a seat...

I hope it reached its destination on time ;)

Was there a trolley service on this train!!!!
Seriously, and I mean absolutely no disrespect to the unfortunate people left behind, but I'm still laughing at this!!! |
Trolley service probably didn't operate due to lack of demand :D
Clearly the 18:25 was late boarding in the first place, thats where the trouble started |
