Draft Timetable (How it impacts Athenry commuters)

So how does this impact Athenry commuters?

The 07:50 from Athenry to Galway, will leave at 07:47, but still arrive at 08:05. Which means it has gotten slower!

The 08:20 (or 08:21 depending on which timetable you look at) will leave at the earlier time of 08:14. The journey will take 16 minutes, which is one minute slower than the current timetable.

The 09:00 will now leave at 09:05.

There will still be a 16:30 from Galway to Athenry. But it will be two minutes slower.

The 17:30 will now leave at 17:45 for Limerick. There will be a new 17:20 train to Dublin.
If you were taking the 17:30 and now start taking the 17:20 your journey time is reducing from 23 minutes to 16.

The 18:05, which hasn't changed departure time in about 100 years I think (except to go from 18:06 to 18:05) will now depart at 18:10.

The 18:30 will be moved to 18:35.

There is another new service at 19:15 to Dublin. Having a train later than 18:06 from Galway to Dublin, is a first AFAIK for Irish Rail.

The 22:15 to Athlone remains unchanged.

Is it possible some of this is creating room for Oranmore without having to change the timetable later?

I don't think so, as the extra time is only a minute or two.
