It gets better Killiney has been fixed but guess what its back up as the lifts in Sandycove, do Irish Rail even know they have ONE lift in Sandycove on the Northbound platform

Edit 16:15 its back as lift now, now if I post here to fix the lift will that work?

Mark Gleeson 18-02-2007 21:00

As if by magic it now reads

The northbound lift at Sandycove

You wonder why it took 4 weeks to get it right

Mark Gleeson 20-02-2007 08:39

Northbound lifts at Sandycove and Killiney and Blackrock southbound

If they can't fix a ift what hope do we have?

Edit add Booterstown southbound as well

Colm Donoghue 20-02-2007 08:43

So Mark, what you're saying is IE come on here, read their incorrect notices and then go and fix the notice instead of the lift? and then break the notice again?

qualidy!

Mark Gleeson 20-02-2007 08:44

Well yes

Mark Gleeson 25-02-2007 23:57

That damn ift in Sandycove is still broken 'temporarily', 5 weeks is hardly 'temporarily'

Colm Donoghue 26-02-2007 11:17

10 years and counting...

Colm Donoghue 26-02-2007 13:30

Was the lift at Sandycove added as part of the dart network shutdown works?
Was planning permission applied for this work?
Does the development meet part M of the planning regulations with no working lift??

What "county" is Sandycove station in? and do they have planing applications online?

Mark Gleeson 26-02-2007 13:41

Sandycove was done under the planning exemption since there is no filed planning application, its DLRCC's turf
The works conducted are within section M specification
Wheelchair access is still maintained via a ramp on the northbound platform, ramp is however too steep under Section M

Unless you know Sandycove you won't understand the unique case it is

Mark Gleeson 27-02-2007 10:46

Here we go again

The lifts at Sandycove and Blackrock are etc

So Sandycove now has more than one lift? And how do both lifts break in Blackrock on the same day??

Mark Gleeson 28-02-2007 09:35

Clearly IE have not learned the lesson

Its back as the lifts in Sandycove

Mark Gleeson 01-03-2007 10:38

As if by magic it now reads

The northbound lift at Sandycove

I suppose they will change it back to lifts now just to bug me and see how long before I spot it

Mark Gleeson 02-03-2007 10:37

Here we go again

The lifts at Sandycove and Pearse are ....

What it should say

The southbound lift at Pearse and the northbound lift at Sandycove are out of order since Iarnrod Eireann are too cheap to have a service contract

Mark Gleeson 14-03-2007 18:02

Sandycove is still broke can now add the lift for platforms 6 & 7 and Connolly as well

Mark Gleeson 26-03-2007 08:35

Sandycove, Glenageary and Laytown all have broken lifts, of course Irish Rail won't tell you which lifts specifically

Mark Gleeson 10-04-2007 10:01

So Monday 19-4-2007 and Tuesday 20-4-2007

P6/7 Connolly
Grand Canal Dock
Sandycove
Bray

Colm Donoghue 10-04-2007 12:31

P6/7 were out when I was getting on at R&L at 7:58 yet didn't appear on the PIS at Portmarnock a few minutes later.

How are you meant to know what platform you'll arrive at in Connolly anyway?

Mark Gleeson 11-04-2007 11:04

The lifts in Sandycove are our of order

Of course there is only one lift in Sandycove, thus in about say 2 hours it will change to read

The northbound lift at Sandycove is f*****d and will be broken on a non temporary basis until we figure out where the lift is

Mark Gleeson 11-04-2007 15:30

It now reads northbound at Sandycove, strange that...

Mark Gleeson 13-04-2007 09:49

No surpise the lift on the northound platform in Sandycove is still out as is the lift platform 6/7 Connolly

Mark Gleeson 16-04-2007 08:52

Well its Blackrock Southbound and Sandycove Northbound this morning

Mark Gleeson 23-04-2007 16:29

Booterstown has been broke since Sunday, Connolly (assuming its P6/7 lift) has gone on the blink. Needless to say that Sandycove is still broken

Mark Gleeson 02-05-2007 11:11

P6/7 Connolly died again yesterday, back working today.

Sandycove is still broke, no sign of any attempt to repair

Mark Gleeson 03-05-2007 10:44

Great spread of broken lifts today

Southbound Pearse
Southbound Skerries
Northbound Sandymount
P6/7 Connolly

Mark Gleeson 04-05-2007 09:26

Only slightly better today

Southbound Pearse
Northbound Sandymount

Mark Gleeson 20-05-2007 14:43

Grand Canal Dock is broken today, of course Sandycove is still broke

Mark Gleeson 24-05-2007 08:25

Sandycove is still out, Skerries is also out but they don't say which one

Mark Gleeson 24-05-2007 14:58

Skerries fixed but the lift in Balbriggan is now broken

Mark Gleeson 28-05-2007 11:07

Sandymount northbound and Tara Street southbound

Drogheda lift from the bridge to platform 2 and 3 is broken

Mark Gleeson 29-05-2007 15:04

Sandycove northbound,Tara Street southbound and both lifts at Bray are broken

Mark Gleeson 08-06-2007 08:47

Sandycove finally got fixed over the weekend, only took them 3 months

Booterstown in on the blink

Mark Gleeson 19-06-2007 08:57

The Sandycove vandals struck again this time in Glenageary, southbound lift

Platform 1 Howth Junction is also broken for reasons unknown

Colm Donoghue 19-06-2007 09:15

It's not vandalism, its a "reliability issue"

Mark Gleeson 25-06-2007 08:38

Irish Rail have struck again

Platform 2 Howth Junction

Of course the lift to platform 2 is also the lift to platform 3 since its the island platform

Mark Gleeson 27-07-2007 08:32

Northbound at Skerries, southbound at Glenageary and while IE aren't admiting to it the northbound lift in Blackrock are all broken

Mark Gleeson 21-08-2007 09:47

Lift on platform 1 Howth Junc is broken, thats the Malahide/Drogheda bound platform

Its not clear really since to get from the booking office to the platform you need a lift but also to get to the bridge, its the same lift as far as I know

The lift from the booking office to platform 1 Howth Junction and the lift from platform 1 to the footbridge is broken

Mark Gleeson 23-08-2007 08:58

Bray and Clontarf Rd have been added to the broken list

zag 23-08-2007 10:15

Just my luck

Today, I finally decided to try the lift in Clontarf Road . . . see what happened ? They saw me coming and de-comissioned it. I thought it would save time instead of waiting for the backlog on the stairs to clear, but instead it took more time. Such is life.

They and Howth no 1 were out on the 22 August also.

As of today, there is someone sleeping in the Harbourmaster Place lift at Connolly Luas stop. The request button failed to operate.
