[05-08-2008] Train Broken Down in Killester

This is from the AA:

*IRISH RAIL* Up to 20min delays on all DART, Northern Commuter and Arklow/ Gorey Commuter services. This is following the removal of a broken down train at Killester Station.

This is from Irish Rail:
DART and commuter disruption by Press Office

there is currently 20 minute delay to services

Why would this affect arklow gorey services? What time did this happen?

ThomasJ 05-08-2008 08:10

According to irish rail the technical fault was the 07:35 connolly belfast at killester

Still doesnt explain why arklow gorey services would be delayed. Would the morning rosslare train not be past connolly at that stage?

It amazing it took them that long to figure it out

Translink are of course a little better, but its not their patch so the notice is fairly impressive
