It's been the same as the number 90 fare for a while now, and that's supposed to be going up to €1.40. The Luas single zone return fare is going up 10c to €2.90 while the single is €1.50 (€1.60 peak), so there's still a small saving of money and a large saving of time, unless you carry a smartcard.
