Bus Eireann Update 5th December 2010

Due to road conditions in the east of the country this evening, Bus Eireann is curtailing the evening timetables of some of its services in the east.

The vast majority of its services around the country continue to operate this evening with delays and diversions in affected areas. Bus Eireann will endeavour to operate as many services as possible this evening and tomorrow morning, particularly commuter services, subject to road and weather conditions. Bus Éireann will continue to closely monitor weather and road conditions throughout the evening and morning. Customers are asked to visit www.transport.ie or www.buseireann.ie or contact their local travel centre for latest information on service changes.

School closures combined with weather and road conditions, particularly on secondary and minor roads, are also likely to result in some disruption to school transport services in affected areas tomorrow morning. Bus Éireann local inspectors in consultation with local schools will assess the situation in each area of the country tomorrow morning.

Road passenger services being curtailed this evening in the east include:

Route 100X Dundalk Drogheda Dublin – Last bus 19:30 from Dundalk to Dublin. Last bus 22:00 from Dublin to Dundalk, from Custom House Quay.
Route 101 Drogheda Dublin – Last bus 17:30 from Drogheda to Dublin. Last bus 19:00 from Dublin to Drogheda.
