PS The delay in July was due to an incident at Kildare, which was sorted out by lunchtime, however the other causes, IR certainly had some control over: a signalling failure and the breakdown on a maintenance vehicle. - IR really run a shoddy service - ie. no investment.
Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree on breakdowns being frequent.

You should take the no investment up with Department of Transport as all they see bothered with is roads. The link below might give you some idea why such problems are happening and who is to blame for it....
