This is a tender for 60 to 80 pre-owned (2nd -hand) DMU vehicles. Unless Brazil or somewhere in Australia has any old stock to flog off, then a re-gauging will be involved, which should be a complex and expensive thing for a DMU.
Why won't the NTA/Dept of Transport or whoever makes these decisions take the obvious first step and refurbish the 2700s.
I note that it's the NTA and not IE who are doing the tendering. The more I see of the NTA the more I think I am looking at a disaster: the HSE of the transport sector.
