Just remember on a proper railway they would give 8 weeks notice

Iarnród Éireann advises customers that due to major engineering works taking place on the weekends of Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th, and Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February at a number of locations between Heuston and Mallow, train services into and out of Heuston will be disrupted.

18.05 Westport/Heuston will be train to Newbridge only and bus transfer from Newbridge to Heuston
18.05hrs Galway/Heuston will be train to Athlone only and bus transfer from Athlone to Heuston.
18.25hrs Waterford/Heuston will be train to Kildare only and bus transfer from Kildare to Heuston.
18.30hrs Heuston to Tralee is deferred until 18.35hrs
21.05hrs Limerick to Limerick Junction is deferred until 21.35hrs.
22.00hrs Limerick to Limerick Junction is deferred to 22.50hrs.
