Iarnród Éireann are delighted to advise customers that a FREE shuttle bus service will operate between Drogheda and Bellewstown for the races this coming weekend Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July.

The shuttle bus will connect in with the following services;

Friday 5th -

14:45hrs Dublin Connolly to Drogheda
22:05hrs Drogheda to Dublin Connolly

Saturday 6th -

14:51hrs Dublin Connolly to Drogheda
22:05hrs Drogheda to Dublin Connolly

Sunday 7th -

11:25hrs Dublin Connolly to Drogheda
19:45hrs Drogheda to Dublin Connolly

Customers are advised to check train times before travelling, through the journey planner above or go to our timetable section.
Fares-

Travel to Drogheda from Dublin Connolly after 09:30hrs for only €13.70 adult day return with our fantastic off-peak promotional fares. Why not take the family for just €31.50 which covers 2 adults and up to 4 children? Terms and Conditions apply.

The middle of nowhere in earnest. I wondered why they simply didn't put Google Map directions rather than "find the Apple Green service station etc" and then a look at the Streetview as to what the "R132" consists of enlightened me. The decision to route the shuttles to Drogheda even though that means a longer trip for the Dublin market makes sense given the awful road options from Laytown and Gormanston. To have only one connecting option per day seems antithetical to the Irish mindset where if there is only one option we will contrive to miss it because of one last pint/chat/trip to the bog/race.

However the closest point on the railway network is Platin Cement Works
