Default Christmas and New Year fares

Just a note to members that online tickets are now on sale through to the end of the year. You can book your tickets at the normal rates (including €10/€15/€20 single fares) on the usual services on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve; we would encourage members intending to travel to book early before Iarnród Éireann notices and switches off the low fares.

One thing to note — last departures on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are generally at or before 1900, so despite what the online journey planner says, I wouldn't recommend booking yourself onto the 2030 Cork-Heuston on Christmas Eve and expecting to make midnight Mass at the Pro-Cathedral
