The Gorey train from Dublin (17.30ish) was 30 minutes late getting into Wicklow last night. I heard that there was an engine failure.

This morning, the Gorey to Dublin train was early in Wicklow at 7.20 (may have been even earlier; I arrived at the station at 7.20 myself).

The train finally left Wicklow at 7.55, about twenty minute late. Of course there was no announcement to let us know what was going on. It also stopped somewhere outside Dun Laoghaire and we eventually arrived at Lansdowne at 9.15.

Why am I paying for an annual ticket again?

Edit: just realised that this thread was about last night's lateness, not this mornings, and edited my post accordingly

That's the one. I don't understand why it was there at 7.20 though; surely it left Arklow and Rathnew too early, causing people getting on there to miss the train?
