I was about to post on this topic this morning. The power seems to be tripping out a lot at the moment. Mostly now I don't have power.

Yes, unfortunately yet another case of things getting worse rather than better

I suppose it is a bit much to expect power when they can't keep bridges from falling into rivers and it is a struggle to keep the Maynooth line signalling system up for more than two or three days at a stretch.

2nd carriage (from front) on 7.26 from Mullingar has had working sockets last 2 days. Wow!

I should have known better. I should have kept my mouth shut about the secret power supply in 2nd carriage. They took it away today

On the 0545 from Sligo this morning, of the rear five cars only the last was working.

Is there any news on a schedule for this being fixed properly?

I've noticed sockets seem to work in more carriages in the evenings but rarely do in the mornings? Wonder why that is?

Trains leaving Connolly are likely to have been given a maintenance check while in Dublin

Best option is the front/rear coach as the drivers do check the fuse board in the cab when they join the train.

Something seems to have changed on the Sligo line. I've not noticed a car tripped out since Christmas and I normally go through 2 or 3 and have been checking out of habit.

I was using sockets for about 15 minutes on Wednesday morning and then it went. Walked thru 3 carriages this morning before I found available power.

Fix - hurry up please :-)

There are new sockets on 22305. The lights are red as opposed to the orange lights on the older ones. Hopefully this is the fix.

All the sockets with green buttons are fixed, I pressed the green buttons a few times and once I turned it back they are still working.

Sorry a bit not related but recently I was on a nite train from Amsterdam to Zurich, theres no dining car on this train until Mannenheim (nearer Switzerland then Holland) these days so I was using the power socket in the Bike wagon and a few other people were there having a drink, quite normal on this train. At some stage a conducter came thru and gave a lecture in his best German that it was dangerous for us to be there and 5 seconds after I looked at him pop the breaker he pointed out I had no power (my screen going dim was a hint too,). Now mostly on nite trains with no dining car people sit and drink in the bike wagon and for the most part power is available and to my knowledge there is no rule about congreting in the bike area, so to answer your question it might be more informative to find out the crew roster then the set number. Some staff feel they are controller of privaliges rather then service providers.
