Default Lost Bag on DART

Got off Connolly Station this morning and realised I'd left my bag on it.

I called Connolly and they tried Howth but no joy

any ideas what to do next?

gardai?

obvs that in telling connolly they assumed which DART you were on - are you sure they got the right one?

To be honest, chances are slim, but check with the stations enroute, it could have been handed in anywhere, but i would imagine that it would be reported into Connolly in any event.

Cancel credit/debit cards if they were there.

Sorry to hear.

Don't DART trains have CCTV onboard all trains.Could the Gardai ask IE for the tape of that particular scheduled DART.

Call the DART office at Pearse 01 703 3504 tomorrow morning. Stuff finds its way there if it is found.

Thanks all, Pearse informs me that lost property is kept at whatever station it's handed into so I guess I'll have to call all Dart stations

I think it is quite extraordinary that the lost and found is not centralised, how many dart stations is there? does this hold true for commuter and intercity stations too? If IE cant be aresd to run a proper lost and found how hard would it be to create a page on their intranet I assume they have one) where at least this stuff could be centrally posted and the information accessed at any manned station?

My understanding based on past experience is that stuff finds its way to Pearse though it might take a few days as it is held at the finding station for a day or so.

Aye, but obviously it's my own fault as I left it on the train. The IE webpage does give Pearse as "Lost & Found" so not sure what the person's issue is.

Perhaps it will find its way to Pearse eventually
