[19/12/2013] Dart and Northern line delays AM Points failure
Points failure somewhere around Howth Junction. Nothing on website, nothing on displays at 8am. Driver on train advised us we were delayed, and would also stop at 3 Dart stations to pick up passengers. Strangely very few passengers got on so assume there is a dart directly ahead of us? Train still showing as arriving into Connolly on time, but expect 10-15 min delays southbound. 1 Dart running 58 mins late towards Bray.

Petty much the normal service then !
There may have been points problems but not at Howth Junction - empty DART for 0807 from Malahide didn't leave Fairview until 0755 and turned back at Clongriffin. Yes I know Malahide is less than 8 miles from Fairview and a non-stop DART should have been able to get to Malahide in less than 10 minutes but ... Also level crossing fault between Sutton and Howth. 0605 & 0715 from Howth cancelled between Howth and Howth Junction. Incidentally trains could have operated from Bayside following last October's signalling changes - poor operational response yet again. Last edited by Inniskeen : 19-12-2013 at 09:21. |
