Default Train stop boards?

Saw this at Tara St. southbound today, a "2/3/4 car stop" board. Are IE starting to fix the problem of passengers running down platforms towards short DARTs?

Based on discussions with Irish Rail management in late 2012, introduction of these stop boards was communicated to us to address in part the delays due trains pulling right up the end of platforms

any word on when these will be in use? - most trains in Pearse are still pulling up to the end of the platform (though just to keep us on our toes, some drivers seem to be pulling up to the sign).
