16:00 left 45 minutes late, unknown reasons. Everything else left on time but got caught in a problem between Portlaoise and Ballybrophy

I too had it up to here last night; was on the 5.30pm from Cork to Heuston which didn't arrive until nearly 10. It stopped three times at unscheduled stops such as Charleville, Ballybrophy and even Adamstown for periods between 5 minutes and half an hour, and thanks to this I was late for an appearance on stage at one of Dublin's best nightspots There were no announcements on board at all while we were stopped practically in the middle of nowhere, although on final approach to Heuston, I managed to ask a member of staff who mentioned something about a 'fatality' holding trains up. The late inbound trains meant that outgoing trains from Heuston were even more delayed in turn.

I think it is time to take a brave step, and to start planning that much wished-for High-Speed Belfast-Dublin-Cork Route that we all want lol. Maybe if the economy sorts itself out, we'll be looking at one by 2030!

If it was a fatality it wouldn't make a difference what kind of a route it was, if someone wants to climb the fence there is nothing you can do

The lack of communication is disgraceful
