Default CIE Travel Centre - What's the point?

I went in to the Travel Centre at 1.10pm this afternoon, during my lunch break, to book a ticket from London to Bordeaux and back and possibly book two other tickets for travel in Britain next month.

I needn't have bothered. The lady at the front desk told me that the foreign travel desk was closed until two o'clock as the woman employed there was on her lunch.

The internet solved my problem and CIE didn't get a cut of my money. So much for wanting to give a little business to them.
