[30-01-08 17:45] Possible northbound delays

Gf is currently waiting at booterstown, platform display is just showing 'Delay' for northbound trians.

Nothing on AA Roadwatch, all 'real time ' systems showing things running as usual.

Connolly intercity realtime display is showing the northbound from Bray due at 17:45 as expected at 18:09, the next northbound (18:00) is showing expected 18:10, although subsequent northbound trains look OK.

she got one about 15-20 minutes late, so there'll probably be a knock on effect. Regular real time systems still showing nothing

29 minutes is the worst delay with others behind up to 20 minutes late

Platform sign at Blackrock at 18:10 said northbound services were running up to 30 minutes late due to awaiting the arrival of the Gardai at Blackrock.

Not even a token apology. And inexcusable that the 'real time' system was still showing trains as on time within a minute or two at least 30 minutes after whatever the issue was.

I was on the 18:46 northbound from Dún Laoghaire and it was only a minute or two behind time. I did hear an announcement about a southbound Greystones train 20 minutes late somewhere along the way (Lansdowne Road, I think).

Was up near the end of the platform waiting for the offending
dart to move away ( to get the Maynooth train ).
After 20 mins, I heard the driver saying over the intercom for the
gardai to make their way to the front of the train.

They proceeded to board and escorted a male and female away, without
incident.

They were both males!

Both of them seemed as surprised as the rest of us that they were being taken off.

I must have been standing right beside you as i was at the top of the platform too waiting on the Maynooth train.

Yeh - I checked real time info on the web @ 18.05 and it showed everything on time. When I got the Pearse st at 18.25, platforms were packed. 18.09 to longford, with only 6 carriages arrived. Left people running up the platform in Connolly.
Transferred to the 18.40 Connolly-Dundalk service. Again 6 carriages. they held a late running northbound Dart outside Connolly, which allowed us to overtake it. Good idea. But then we slowed between Howth Junction and Malahide, and then slowed again north of Donabate. Arrived 9 minutes late into 1st stop, Skerries. No announcements.
Radio was saying all services had returned to normal, but I doubt that.
Amazing how such a small incident can cause so many delays for so many passengers

Not really - that Dart was the one I was on!
Was wondering why we were sitting there for no reason.

Wouldn't have caused me any hassle if they'd bothered to update the 'fake-time' system, could've just stayed in work. They should really just take that down, it's pointless.
