Default Paper Travel Vouchers

I recently received a €10 travel voucher for being left stranded in Mallow for an hour (again!). Now, with the demise of the weekender ticket and as I generally travel Dublin/Tralee on off-peak services and can avail of €20 internet fares each-way anyway, this paper travel voucher is completely useless to me as I can only use it at a booking-office! Which makes a complete farce of the IE passenger charter.

Of course, correspondence to IE on this matter still awaits a reply...

In theory they must refund in cash form under EU law if requested

There is provision for a single voucher to be accepted by the booking system

I had noticed this had appeared recently, one can only assume they're in the process of migrating their vouchers to electronic format, but in the meantime I'm still stuck with an old-fashioned paper voucher that won't work on the net. Maybe I'll just send it back to them and demand something more useful..
