Luas Cherrywood is the 7.5km extension of the Luas Green Line (St. Stephen’s Green to Sandyford) to Bride’s Glen. It is fast-approaching and passenger services are due to start in October 2010. Luas Cherrywood will serve 9 new Luas Stops and will facilitate the achievement of Land Use Objectives developed by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The estimated journey time between Sandyford Stop and Brides Glen Stop is 20 minutes. The stops at Brennanstown and Racecourse are future stops. Stops are located at Central Park, Glencairn, The Gallops, Leopardstown Valley, Ballyogan Wood, Carrickmines, Laughanstown, Cherrywood and Brides Glen. Luas Cherrywood Line B1 is being developed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis and is part of the Government’s Transport 21 investment programme.

Luas Cherrywood Is Fast Approaching
