Default [01/11/2010] Serious delays to all services using Booterstown

Arrived at Lansdowne Road at 17.15 for the 16.50 Bray to Drogheda.
No sign of it, and over the next 15 mins 2 northbound DARTs arrived.
No real time travel alerts on IE website, nothing on the LED overhead displays and no announcements.
After a couple of goes, I got through to Connolly information desk around 17.25. They informed me there had been a serious medical emergency at Booterstown earlier, and that long delays were to be expected. I asked them why no information to passengers at Lansdowne. She said she would ask the station to make announcements, as CTC were not (at least at that station).
There was certainly no additional information for the next 5 minutes, when my service arrived.
There was also not a single announcement for the next hour while I sat on that Drogheda bound train. However, they must have listened to my feedback, as I could tell the overhead LED displays were showing delays at 15-20 minutes at Connolly when I passed through there around 17.50.
(However, I also know a Howth to Bray DART [E221], which was due in at 16.48 into Lansdowne, but was not due 17.18, 30 minutes late]
Hope the person involved makes a full recovery.
Given the serious delays, I assume it was single track workings. But I am only guessing...
Anyone else heard anything else about same?

The 14:30 Greystones Howth got caught at Booterstown

Reason unknown

Irish Rail's computer system has been giving trouble all day so you can't rely on it. The platform display in Dun Laoghaire had three northbound trains all at the same time in the northbound platform
