Some slight delays nationwide.
09:30 Cork-Dublin Heuston is listed as being 306 [yes!] minutes late at Templemore, which is presumably a glitch.

The system is relatively simple. The driver keys in a train code and that tells the signalling system what train it is and what timetable it plans to work to. The signalling system then tells the RealTime system the basics and it works out where to expect the train at what time. The morning Athlone-Galway train has the same code as the late night Galway-Athlone train, so in the it reports that the evening train is due in ~720 minutes.
Two possibilities come to mind. 1. The 0930 had problems and terminated at Limerick Junction, passengers transferred and the train was repaired and later used to provide a Limerick Junction-Heuston service. 2. The data got corrupted somewhere along the line.

DART and Suburban Delays 09/12/2010 Evening Peak
The 16.50 Bray to Drogheda was delayed en route a total of 20 minutes, mainly due to delays to the Greystones DART that runs ahead of it. It also encountered delays between Howth Junction and Malahide. Not a single announcement by the driver, or for passengers waiting at Sydney Parade where I waited initially for 10 mins before it arrived.
