As of 06.35am, the 05.55am Gorey-Connolly service was delayed 30 mins.
No fresh snow in Fingal since 8pm yesterday, so hoping most Northern suburban services should run on time

0545 Sligo - Connolly leaving Drumcondra at 0913 - 35 minutes late. We were on time until Enfield but left 10 minutes late due to the the down train being late.

We've just crawled in from Maynooth - I assume because we were behind a stopping train.

Exclamation advisory

Folks, please take care when getting on or off trains.

When boarding a DART last night the woman in front of me skidded on the platform, fell on to the DART and hit off the yellow pole in the centre of the floor.

She laughed it off but it could have been more serious, there have been other smaller incidents involving passengers getting on or off trains.

Take care!

Dublin airport is shut until at least 2000. Cork, Shannon, Kerry, Knock, and Waterford are all fine.

16:45 - Waterford - Limerick Junction delayed and estimated to depart at 17:30.

18:50 - Limerick Junction - Waterford will be delayed as a result.

I was on the 13:20 today and we departed 17 minutes late. The reason was that the 13:00 to Cork had being delayed due to train failure in Heuston and passengers were transfered onto another train. It departed at 13:34. Why couldn't the 13:20 depart on time. There was no reason to delay it at all.

This is something I don't understand about IE. In general if the 6 o'clock Cork train is significantly delayed in the evening this has a knock on effect to the departure of the Westport, Waterford and Thurles trains. In general I have always seen the Portlaoise and Newbridge trains (which depart at 18.05 and 18.10, respectively) leave on time but for some reason they always delay the 3 trains at 6.30, 6.35 and 6.40.

I would of expected to be delayed if the train was serving Newbridge, Kildare etc but it was going non stop to Carlow. It not acceptable.

Exclamation last dublin bus 10pm tonight

Thats of course depending on if conditions dont deteriate further it could be sooner!

Quote:
Taking account of the weather forecast for tonight for very cold temperatures, frosty, icy conditions and further snow showers, combined with the current road conditions Dublin Bus will operate all last buses at 10pm tonight from both the city centre and the suburbs. However, this will be dependent on road and weather conditions which Dublin Bus will be monitoring closely throughout the evening.

15:05 - Heuston - Waterford has been delayed by at least 50 minutes. The last Real Time Update stated it was 25 mins late at Cherryville Junction. Even bigger delay expected as the 16:50 is not due in Kilkenny until 17:30.

16:35 - Heuston - Waterford running 22 minutes late also.

1705 to Sligo has just got off 25 minutes late. Seems to be a lot of messing about around Connolly.
The train didn't arrive for boarding until 1715 which is a bit unfair on those unlucky enough to be standing at the wrong place on the platform since 1630. Still, mustn't grumble. No more trains for me until January 10th.
