There are currently delays to Malahide DARTs, Northern Commuter Services and Belfast Enterprise services due to a major signal failure.

Howth DARTs are operating as normal

Southside DART services are operating as normal

Iarnród Éireann apologises for any inconvenience caused

Bus Eireann are allegedly accepting train tickets. I'll find out if this is true in a few minutes.

Bus Eireann are accepting tickets

Its like the evening after the Skerries derailment all over again

Signalling is back working again but it will take a while to get sorted out

While Bus Eireann were accepting train tickets, they were giving priority to customers with pre paid buys tickets (fair enough, I guess). Then as I was about to board a bus, word came through that signalling was operating again, so they were no longer accepting train tickets, so it was back around to connolly and another half hour wait before a train actually left.

Oh, and Irish Rail now claim to be operating a normal service with some delays. Reality on the ground is no one has a clue what's happening.

Can anyone tell me if you are able to claim back the cost of bus ticket to get home on Wed night? Despite IR announcing rail tickets for Dundalk would be accepted on Bus Eireann, as usual the bus driver had not been informed and a bus full of us had to pay. Albeit only 8e - is very frustrating having paid over 2500 for an annual ticket.

Any advice appreciated

Most certainly you should put in a claim http://www.irishrail.ie/images/pdfs/...unt%20Form.pdf

It was badly handled by Irish Rail
