Due to alterations to Emly Level Crossing in the Limerick Junction/Charleville section of the network, from Monday 4th to Monday 11th April, the following services may be delayed by 10 - 15 minutes:

Heuston to Cork, Limerick and Tralee services

Iarnród Éireann regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Was the conversion of Emly AHB crossing to a fully-signalled CCTV-monitored crossing not part of the Limerick Junction re-signalling project?. If so why was the change not done during the weekend when the line was closed for the changeover? And in any event why does it take a week of possible disruption to make a relativly simple change, which should be done in a couple of nights' possession?
