Default Cork Kent Station €4m revamp

Hi

Would any of you be able to shed light on the current Kent Station revamp in Cork? Its taking place at the moment and is costing €4m to improve the concourse, new retail facilities, bigger car park, new signage (with digital clock no less!) etc.

Only thing is in Jan 2005 we were promised a €25m entire refit, to be ready in early 2007, to move the whole station around to face the quays and move the Bus Station down there with a huge facelift also to the Victorian barn that is Kent station.

WOuld anyone know if this is actually going to take place now? If so, why is €4m being spent at the moment when surely it would all be affected by having to move the station around to face the quays and if its not going to happen, why not and when WILL it happen?

thanks
