For a short period I thought Cherrywood luas had got a P&R since there's a sign at Cherrywood roundabout for it. In fact it directs you via the M50 to Carrickmines luas P&R.

I think to be fair Irish Rail would have had the car park built and open on time.

RPA screwed up and took months to do something which should have been part of the core work

You mean like Hansfield where the road and car park are still missing?

Irish Rail was refused planning permission for a car park in Hansfield under the SDV conditions. The delay currently is trying to get around that block due to the changed circumstances.

The station was supposed to be surrounded by housing and the planners ruled that there was no need for a car park as Dunboyne and M3 Parkway had car parks and more accessible parking from the main routes.

With the exception of Midleton all Irish Rail built stations opened with car parks available. Midleton had to wait a day to remove the marquee used for the opening...

Luas has an appalling track record of not having the car park ready. It took 4 years to get Tallaght P&R open
