Default [15-10-2012] 20 mins Delays into Heuston

This morning many trains were delayed by about 20 mins. Apologies in Heuston mentioned 'bad weather' at Ballybrophy as a reason why the 0505 was late.

The 0505,a 3-car, arrived in Kildare at 0804 and was very fully by the time it left Newbridge with stops at Sallins and Hazelhatch to follow. This was probably due to its running in the slot of the 0743 from Portlaosie which is normally a 6-car.

Several other trains were delayed from Cork, Westport, Galway and Portlaoise.

Nothing on Twitter.

The 0545 from Sligo pulled in to Connolly at 0858 by my watch which would make it 11 minutes late. It was late already at Edgeworthstown and I would have put it down to fog.

There was some fairly serious fog over the midlands this morning which can result in problems with visibility of signals

Dosn't the signal colour show in the drivers cab or a beeping sort of some sort or do they relay on both to make sure.

Also some routes like the Nenagh brach and Westport have alot of level crossings and accommodation crossings. I imagine in fog the train has to slow down even more than usual.

brophy would be on that line from the 0505 point of view, unless kilocharlie means the 0505 limerick/nenagh service, which actually would be only slightly not on time at 8.04 in kildare.

Yes, I meant the 0505 Limerick-Dub via Nenagh. It was 16 mins late in Kildare yesterday and 45mins late today.
