I checked the IE webite at 16.45, and not a single mention of any delays. Arrived into Connolly around 17.00 and walked onto the 17.07 Connolly-Balbriggan. For the next hour the driver did not make a single announcement about delays. We ran about 20 mins late.
The 17.13 Pearse to Dundalk was due to be pulled into the Southbound platform at Skerries, I assume to let it overtake the late running 17.07 service.
LED displays had a very general 1 line. Nothing about when the incident occurred, when it was fixed, or length of delays.
