Sligo service a bit rubbish as a result. 4 car 29K running the 0545 this morning - about 20 minutes late in Connolly. 1600 cancelled for the duration so 1705 will be jammed.

No sensible information on how long this will go on. An amended timetable would be useful as we could turn up for trains a bit later if we know for sure how delayed the train would be.

The last time this happened they were organised to move the up-train departures 15 minutes earlier so as to minimise disruption for people between Longford and Dublin (approximately 90% of passengers on the line).

James

You have to ask how many trains are stuck on the Sligo end of the line, there must be a few sets which explain the 29's.

The 17.05 wasn't jammed at all yesterday with the 16.00 cancelled.

The 0545 and the 0700 made it through yesterday morning so there can only be one or two sets the far side and the big set was on the Dublin side. I'm guessing it may only be one as the 0545 was bussed straight from Sligo to Longford this morning. Anyway, it is not going to be a nice week for anybody depending on this "service".

I don't know if they used a 22k for the 1705 yesterday, but if they did it would have overnighted in Longford. I suspect the sets were swapped around because they couldn't get them out of Longford in the right order without more messing than they had drivers or time for.

17:05 ran as a 7 coach ICR yesterday, 3 at the country end, 4 at Dublin end

Possibly had a to split to work the continuation of the 18:00 ex Sligo once it got to Longford

Would make it 2 4 piece sets in Sligo (09.00 and 11.00 services)

I expect the reason for the bus transfers for the 05.45 service to Longford is because of such low numbers traveling before Longford and it probably saved time instead of doing train/bus/train.
