Madam, - I read there is a proposal for a cable car system running above the river Liffey. Will it be known as the Suas? - Yours, etc,

Is that really a proposal? Sounds interesting, thought pointless if they would learn how to do proper integrated public transport.

The project would involve erecting four giant steel towers, two of them significantly higher than Liberty Hall, along the three-kilometre route.

Might be a tourist attraction, but for whisking passengers across the city at a maximum rate of 300 per hour, it's not going to be an alternative to the Interconnector.

Our old friends from Shannon Beaux Walk properties according to the IT.

I am still wondering if we will ever see the promised rail link to that development be completed once they have what they want. There is no doubt that the 'Suas' project is a trojan horse for something else; there is considerable doubt that if granted permission that this project would be completed once they have what they are really after.

To think that the Loop line bridge impairs the visual amenity of certain parts of the city, can one imagine the impact of 4 large towers and cable cars floating over the city?

I hope this project stays in the IT's letters section.

I'd have to see more about it but I think it could be kind of cool. IMO there is a serious lack of interesting attractions in Dublin. There are some nice buildings but not a whole lot more. It could be the most hideous thing known to man but I think Dublin is quite a boring city to look at and something like this could spice it up nicely.

They quote 15 euro for a one way ride(flight?) thats very expensive, I was on the one in Lisbon and it was about 6 euro or so return. And, its almost empty most of the time!
