IE Website: to-day's collectors item
Iv'e chosen the above title because it says on the IE Website that there will be bus transfers to and from Ballina-Manulla Junction next Saturday. I wonder how they do that given that Manulla Jcn has no road access.

Think the bus actually will go via Castlebar
The train involved is making the reverse connection at Manualla to allow Westport - Ballina journeys

I never knew there was no exit point out of Manulla Junction. Would have thought that one should be in place for emergencies?

It's not just a trivial point: the bus transfer will have to be at Castlebar, or perhaps Claremorris for Dublin passengers, and why don't they make that plain?. The text of the IE announcement can only add to the potential for confusion which is always there when there are bus substitutions.

It doesn't effect any passengers to or from Dublin so it will be Castlebar
