Damn. I will be out of the country, exploring a very different kind of public transport - ski lifts.

Any more details, is there a cover charge?

Comme-ci, comme ça.

A mixture of good talks from Derek, Prof Wickham and the T21 press release rehashed by some DOT mandarin.
Was worth a peek in anyway to finally meet some of the P11 crew.

that stuff on the turf war is good

i've mentioned P11 to a few people over the past few weeks and the "amiens st gang" thing is still out there - there's a need to emphasise P11's very real and useful independence...

personally i think that the tactic of aligning with the various Rail user groups in newbridge etc is genius and definently the way forward for P11

it seems that the committee has gone against leaflet drops - are there any planned? maybe one highlighting the turf war and (implicitly) contrasting with the way P11 works with KRUG and NRUG etc etc?

I would think the next place for a 'drop' would be Maynooth line and indicating the lack of integration with metro.

You could go even as far as to include the whole Greystones to Maynooth and Navan lines. They should all be aware that they are getting zero integration to the metro north lines.

I think this stems from our support and media push on the DRP. Its also an internet based opinion. Reaction on the ground is very different. At this stage our continued involvement with user groups, community councils etc will be the way forward.Maynooth is on the way, once we complete our work on the Kildare route. After that we intend taking it further afield.

Leaflets will be distributed at the Kildare and Portarlington meetings this week.

EDIT: Fixed quotation - Paul
