"trametro"???
Could someone please tell me whether the metro system will be a fully flegded metro as in cities such as paris, new york, london, etc... or will it be an underground luas? on transport.ie the specs for the metro include "Luas trams can also use the Metro line as track design will be similar for both services" if it is not what it claims to be will there not be large capasity deficits?... and WHY would they run luas trams on the metro line? i know this was discussed before, but i was wondering if anything was cleared up in this recent anouncment. also, is the map of the 3 proposed routes online??

The map is here http://www.rpa.ie/upload/documents/F...ro%20North.pdf
Yes it is a supped up tram, but the capacity is there on paper. Its based on the metro is Porto. A full P11 position, primarly with respect to integration will be made available once we have had time to assess the situation The only information in the public domain is the above pdf and the RPA site This isn't a customer issue yet (locked) A technical discussion is available to P11 members at http://forum.platform11.org/forumdisplay.php?f=7 still all we have is that pdf Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 01-03-2006 at 22:16. |
