LUAS services disrupted after incident near Heuston

Monday February 23 2009
Early morning Luas services in Dublin have been disrupted this morning following an incident near Heuston Station.

The Luas bridge over the River Liffey has been closed as a result of the incident.

Red Line services are currently terminating at the Blackhorse stop, but commuters can use their LUAS tickets on Dublin Bus services

Seems a bit extreme to close everything from Blackhorse if there's an incident at Heuston...

Blackhorse is the last point where trams can change lines, if there is an incident before Heuston.

The "incident" involved the Sean Heuston bridge being cordoned off by Gardai, with what was probably a body under a sheet on the bridge. It's a pity there is no switchback just before Heuston.
