Default Accessible footbridge for Carlow

In Mid-October (2017) I… received conditional planning permission for the construction of an accessible footbridge (and associated stairs and lifts) at Carlow linking the stationís two platforms.

The planning documents indicate that the footbridge will be sited to the Athy side of the station building (whereas the current footbridge is located the Muine Bheag side).

The station has 22 scheduled passenger train crossings a week (when a train travelling to Dublin serves the station at the same time as a train bound for Waterford).
