In case we didn't already guess, Translink has helpfully pointed out that the cross-border change (at least) is due to staff shortages within IÉ.

Looks like they've found a driver for the Docklands Clonsilla services?

What they "forgot" to say is the 17.25 Connnolly to Enniscorthy and the 20.05 Enniscorthy to Connolly will only run to/from Gorey and is only 4 carriages

Default 7-7-2008 07:18 Dundalk Bray - cancelled at Connolly - Driver shortages

07.16 Dundalk to Bray was abandoned at Connolly this morning due to driver shortages. The Maynooth service which is due a few minutes behind it was pulled in front of it while we slowly made our way into Connolly. This meant none of the Northern suburban passengers could transfer over to this service. The next DART was 7 minutes behind, but with >1,000 extra passengers waiting to get onto it, I decided to walk toward Pearse st. No escalators working to LUAS stop either....

Escalator down to the Luas was off both last Thurs and up and down were off last Sun. I wonder have they just turned them off while the Luas stop isn't in use? Oblivious to those who are going down to the taxi rank.

No mention of the 16:00 to Sligo, which calls Maynooth, then Mullingar all stops, or will that be cancelled as well?

According to the online timetable the 17:05 and the 19:05 connolly sligo will both call at kilcock and enfield on sunday making it 3 outbound services to there.

rather than defer the 16:00 connolly sligo they ask passengers travelling beyond maynooth to await the 16:30. And avail of bus substitutions

Is this really necessary? Is the bus substituition needed or are they wasting budget?

Again I still think passengerson the 16:10 Pearse Longford could have been accomodated on a deferred 16:00 Connolly Sligo.

It is any coincidence that there is a pair of cancellations on the Rosslare line when there is an extra GAA train

The 18:08 connolly maynooth should be fun seen as though that train is normally packed to the rafters and thats without the maynooth passengers that use the 18:05
