Default [13-8-2008] Booterstown - Dun Laoghaire closed

Wednesday 13th August: Services Suspended between Booterstown and Dun Laoghaire. by Corporate Communications

13.00hrs : Services are currently suspended between Booterstown and Dun Laoghaire due to overhead line fault.

We are working to rectify the fault and this website will be updated as further information is available.

Dublin Bus are accepting rail tickets.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
I think you will find that since the crossovers at Merrion have gone missing this is going to cause serious problems between Lansdowne and Booterstown as well. They won't say where the fault is

Once again we exposed Irish Rail's inability to tell the truth

The lack of clarity in any of these communications is a joke.

DB are accepting rail tickets? Old rail tickets? Rail tickets from abroad?

What Rail tickets are they accepting? Are they accepting rail tickets to Howth or Maynooth?

Secondly, if DB are accepting rail tickets then why not tell the less clairvoyent which DB routes to get to their destination. There is no reason for the laziness, it takes less than 5 minutes to get a decent announcement the first time.

E.g Customers for Blackrock can get a 4, 7 or 45 from Nassau St..

Customers for Dun Laoighre can get ....

Customers for Dalkey can get a 46A to Dun Laoighre where they can change for a 59.

All services are back running as of 16:20

Despite the notice of 15:00 from Irish Rail, services did not run to Booterstown
