Default [27-9 till 12-10/2008] No outbound services Clondalkin

Temporary Closure: Clondalkin Southbound platform by Corporate Communications

The new Clondalkin Fonthill Station will open to customers on 13th October 2008.

To facilitate the commissioning of the new station, and associated trackwork, it will be necessary to close the southbound platform at the existing Clondalkin Station to all passenger traffic from Saturday 27th September to Sunday 12th October 2008.

A bus transfer will be in operation for passengers to connect with southbound services between Clondalkin Station and Parkwest & Cherry Orchard Station during this time.

The bus transfer will leave Clondalkin Station 10 minutes earlier than the currently scheduled departure time from Clondalkin.

Passengers travelling from Heuston to Clondalkin must alight at Parkwest and Cherry Orchard, where a bus transfer will be in operation to Clondalkin Station.

Northbound services to Heuston Station will continue to operate normally.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience these essential works will cause.
Fail to see what is temporary about it Clondalkin outbound closes for good on Sept 26th and the new station in Fonthill opens Oct 13th
