But on the other hand, every Japanese station of any size has a manned gateline all day.

16-25 Railcards stopped

IÉ has quietly snuck out that 16-25 Railcards will no longer be issued. The card replaced the Faircard around 5 years ago. Cards in circulation will be accepted up to their expiry date.

I understand that the verification is done over the phone on the spot and in the event everything checked out the pass is handed back with an apology. Further compensation would not be relevant.
