So it's everyone into the 4 piece 1800!!! Ouch. (The cancelled 1715 is
an 8 piece).
Of course the 1817 to Longford is an 8 piece.

Maynooth PAX, and all intermediate stations, would have got on to the 4 piece at 1728 or the 8 piece at 1744.

I wonder how did it all 'pan' out?

I dont know about the 18.00 longford but the 17.44 to maynooth left crammed with passengers left behind at connolly the 18.05 to maynooth left packed as well. Also to add the 17.58 to dundalk left as a four car service and left passengers behind at conolly and the 18.17 to longford was a six car left connolly crammers

Jeez thankfully I avoided this. I made the 1738 Docklands departure (just!) after legging it off a 46A on Dawson St at 1715.

The announcement that the train was out of service was not made untill after the 17:28 had left connolly. passengers were sitting there without knowing anything for about 15-20 minutes no announcements made. When the announcement was made the intermediate stations to maynooth passengers were advised to get the 17.44 with passengers going to stations between maynooth and longford to get the 18.00
