Default Citywest Extension

From transport21.ie

Quote:
Luas Line A1 – Citywest Extension

The statutory period for application for leave to apply for judicial review of the Railway Order in respect of the planned Luas extension to Citywest expired on 11 August 2008 and that Railway Order is now fully enforceable.
But will they actually enforce it? Anyone know how long before an unenforced Railway Order expires?

They have 6 years I think to complete the task and the minister can grant a extension. There is a 4 week period or so in which a legal challenge can be brought to challenge the order. Only once has that option been taken up

Construction will begin in earnest shortly. Jim Mansfield and his business partners are paying so its at no risk of cut backs

Design/construction of routes isn't a passenger issue so thread closed
