You only need one ticket?

Quick question on this, it applies to all ticket types, right? I mean, I can buy a weekender ticket from Tralee to Clontarf Road or vice-versa?!

Also, is there any specific rule/bye-law one can quote on this when one is having 'difficulty' explaining one's request to the ticket-clerk??

And I presume such weekender ticket would just cost the same as one from Tralee to Heuston + Luas (€59.60)??
