Just on a sidenote the 17:15 Connolly Longford was on the real time information not too long ago but has now disappeared off the radar. A sign?

This reads as if it means today Monday since the title doesn't give a date

The cancellations on Gorey services have nothing to do with drivers, more to do with the ongoing engineering works

I noticed that the 16:35 Pearse Maynooth [runs from either Gorey or Rosslare] is not a listed service to run today 14-04-2008 (ie search connolly maynooth for today on the jouney planner and this service doesn't appear)

Having said that there are two scheduled services from Maynooth to Wicklow today which is very strange.

No mention of this on the Irish Rail Website.

Thomas J: the main IE website hompage notice on the cancellations due to the Rosslare line re-signalling states that for most of the time the bus substitutions are from Wicklow to Rosslare, so no surprise if there are trains to Wicklow. On the last 2 days of the works the substitutions are from Greystones and Dublin the whole way.

ACustomer, I was just pointing out that I found it strange that given that there was only one service from Wicklow to Maynooth today, how could there be two services from Maynooth to Wicklow. Would they not be one set short to do this?

The 18:09 Pearse-Longford was declared cancelled by automated announcement today, with the reason "staff shortages".

The Docklands services suffered disruption this morning as well although not sure if this was the reason why?

Their notice this morning was as useless as ever:

Interesting to see this has now been attributed to "driver illness"

Whatever's going around in the IE canteen must be seriously contagious, that's a lot of cancelled trains! Hope they've informed HSE Public Health
