Default IE Lack of communication on trains

I was on the 5.05 train from connolly to sligo train this evening and it was near 20 minutes late into Mullingar and we were not offered any explaination or an apology to why we were late or why we stayed on the track outstide Maynooth for the 20 minutes.
This seems to be the on going trend on the trains lately. Is it happening on other trains and darts?

Hi Kat welcome to the board.

The poor standard of announcements is a frequent and ongoing problem with Irish Rail. They will claim that it is better and perhaps it is. But realistically, it still appears to be treated as a new concept to both management and hence staff. Therefore we still get a huge amount of complaints from people about it.
