[31-01-2007] Kent Station, Cork - Railway St Car Park Closed

A car park attached to Kent Station in Cork is closed following an overnight fire.

The fire broke out in an old goods yard at Railway Street car park, part of the Kent Station complex, in the early hours of this morning.

Railway Street car park has 400 spaces which are normally occupied by rail passengers but is also used by people working in offices nearby.

Gardai are investigating the scene and have called in a forensics unit.

The car park remains closed this morning.
