My new Annual Rail, Bus and Dart card has stopped working after barely two weeks of use. It's the old style magnetic strip ones and is giving a Turn Card Over / Wrong Side Up / Stupid Design reading.

You can get it exchanged on the spot at Pearse station or at the taxsaver office on Amiens Street. There's also probably an exchange form you can fill in at your local station and they'll send out a new ticket within a couple of weeks.

On a few occasions, my point to point annual ticket has failed in the automatic gates only to be restored by the reader on the Dublin bus.
The first time I thought it was fluke. The second time it was a brand new ticket, chanced it on the bus and it has worked fine since. Generally I'm not that lucky ao there might be something in it... Might be worth a try if you use the bus? |

The ticket works fine on Dublin Bus machines so I will try it again at my train station. Thanks for information posted here though.
