Default Dublin bus route 151

This is hidden in the Dublin Bus Website. Thought you might find it of interest. Its the first i have read of it anywhere.

Route 151

Dublin Bus is pleased to advise customers of the following changes to Route 151. The route is being extended to serve Adamstown and will start at Adamstown Rail Station. It will operate via Adamstown Avenue, Wyeths, Grangecastle Business Park and then continue on it’s current route.

There will also be a minor change of routing from Docklands Station via Sheriff Street to serve Connolly Station to avoid congestion. There will be no other changes to the remainder of the route and departure times will remain the same.

These changes will be introduced from Sunday 1st July.

makes sense, the 151 is a good service, although at present empty for much of the day.

I wonder which would be faster* on a normal morning, getting a train + luas or just the 151?

* Assuming you're travelling from Adamstown to O'Connell St.

I reckon the train? tis only 15 minutes from Adamstown to Heuston ... assuming you can actually get on a luas that should get you there in 35/40

If you get your timing right the train is better but if you arrive at the station and the next train is thirty minutes or if there are delays you are going to go out and get the bus. The 151 is a very good frequency service and the bus lanes are effective there is not much difference between the two
